Following in the footsteps of Facebook, Twitter has decided to redesign their platform by updating its layout, finally allowing brands to create 'Brand' pages akin to the Facebook Fan Page. According to VatorNews, "many people have criticized Twitter for not being best platform for marketers". Brand pages on Twitter will allow for custom design, embedded images, and videos. Many believe this new layout will strengthen relationships between users of the site and advertisers using it as a marketing tool. Among other features, three of the most important ones include: the ability to post a large header image, the inclusion of a 'Featured Tweet', and the ability to differentiate between brand's @replies and @mentions.
